It's been a great year, but what is next?

To end the year I have just completed all new art for 2 base set trading cards for Topps' Star Wars Galaxy 5. Dragon Con is upon us!
September 4th through the 7th 2009 Atlanta GA
This will be my first Dragoncon appearance and will be accompanied by my lovely Denise Vasquez (with her own table).  We are both really excited and are anticipating one of our best shows for the year! Along with having tables, Denise and I will be participating in some really great art & industry related panels (read further down for times and dates)
I will be at table at Table #54 with a ton of free stuff and things to buy! So stop by my table if you will be coming to Dragoncon.
I will also be participating in some fun panels during dragon con.

Not sure if I announced it here yet, but I am now being represented by Artinsight Animation & Film Art Gallery. Some of you may have bought art work from them at Comic Con and other shows that they have boths up at. This is really exciting because they will and have already sold some great original Star Wars art for me.

Some of you already know that artinsight is handling my commission sales as well. Prices have gone up a bit, but I want to announce, that until January 1st 2010, my pre "artinsight" sketch card commission prices will be honored to fans who have ordered cards through me before and Scoundrels!

Yes, it is true my prices are going up a bit for my "Style A" artwork. Because of a bigger work load, and the amount of time it takes to render these little cards, I have to raise the price of my Style A Sketch cards.



What is Style A? (see attached samples)

Good question. Over the years I have tried a few different approaches to the style of art I put on my sketch cards. I've found the most popular so far has been a more realistic rendering of the subject I am drawing. I use many different colors, and use a multitude of Colored Pencil colors to render these up and get fine detail. It is a time consuming process.

I call this high rendered technique my "Style A" Sketch cards.

I do a number of other styles from Cartooning, and Caricature, to graphic design.

I am currently working on defining these styles Better, and thus will have the distinction of "Style B, C, and D"

All will have separate price tags, which will give collectors with small to large budgets the chance to own some of my art.

These Styles and prices will be announced very soon!
